Eastern Missouri Crappie Club Tournament Updates
On January 8th , 2011 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held there year end meeting and awards for the 2010 fishing season. The angler of the year with a total score of 1275 points went to Steve Perotti earning him a plaque and Jacket. Runner-up angler of the year with a total score of 1255 points was Jason Jackson earning him a plaque and $75.00. Big fish of the year went to Tom Holtmeyer with a 2.24lb fish earning him a plaque and $50.00.
Congratulations to the all of them for their outstanding dedication and endurance! The club meeting has voted on some amendment changes to the bylaws as well as some changes to the formats on the tournament schedule. We hope everyone enjoyed the meal and year end awards meeting.
October Tournament
On October 16 , 2010 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held the final tournament of the 2010 season. The format was a Three person tournament held at Mark Twain Lake. First place was awarded to the team of Brad Ruyle, Bill Ruyle, and Paige Wheeler with 8.86 lbs. Earning the team $ 324.00. Second place went to the team of Brad Perotti, and Joe Meyer weighing in 8.32 lbs. earning the team $ 243.00. Third place went to the team of Jason Jackson, Mike Wehde, and Ed Hoeckelmann with 7.78lbs. earning the team $ 161.00. Fourth Place went to Bob Bray, and Ron Molitor weighing in 7.76lbs. earning the team $81.00. Fifth place went to the team of TJ Westoff, Nathan Prinster, and Ben Schneider weighing in 6.94lbs. earning the team gift cards donated by Grizzly Jig Company.
1st big fish went to the team of Brad Perotti, and Joe Meyer with a weight of 1.70 lbs. earning them $70.00. 2nd big fish went to the team of Brad Ruyle, Bill Ruyle, and Paige Wheeler with a weight of 1.64 lbs. earning them $30.00 ..
Great Job to the winning teams....................!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the final tournament of the 2010 year! What a exciting year to fish the club tournaments!! With weights of 9.96lbs on seven fish, a few crappie over 2lbs., and the format schedules made every tournament a new challenge for all of our members.
September Tournament
On September 18,2010 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held their One person, One pole, Artificial only & 2 fish only tournament held on Mark Twain Lake. With beautiful weather and light winds, the crappie bite was on! Tom Holtmeyer took first place with a 2.24 lb and a 1.52 lb fish for a total of 3.76lbs. Now that is some really nice fish for Mark Twain!!!!! Tom also had the big fish weighing in at 2.24lb crappie. Tom earned $264.00 for first place and $77.00 for big fish. Keith Mueller took second place with two fish weighing 2.74lbs earning $176.00. Taking third place was Mike Wehde with two fish weighing in at 2.62.lbs earning a Grizzly Jig gift card. Great job to the winning teams.............and a special thanks to South Fork Resort! Our next tournament will be on Saturday October 16,2010 . This tournament is our club only three person tournament and the final tournament of the year!!!!!

August Tournament
On August 28, 2010 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held their adult youth tournament at Mark Twain Lake. The adult/youth tournament was formatted to try and keep children interested in outdoor activities. This is a very challenging yet fun tournament for all to test their skills.
First place was awarded to the team of Bruno Perotti, Rob Ott and youth with 7.12 lbs. Earning the team $ 263.00. Second place went to the team of Shane Cappel, Keith Mueller and youth with 6.46 lbs. earning the team $ 204.00. Third place went to the team of Jason Jackson, Eddie Barton and youth with 6.20lbs. earning the team $ 117.00. Fourth Place went to The Tom Holtmeyer team with 5.80lbs. earning them gift cards donated by Grizzly Jig Company.
1st big fish went to the team of Shane Cappel, Keith Mueller, and youth with a weight of 1.48 lbs. earning them $91.00. 2nd big fish was a tie between two teams. The team Bruno Perotti, Rob Ott, and youth with a weight of 1.40 lbs. earning them $39.00.
Great Job to the winning teams....................Our next tournament will be held on Saturday Sept 18 ,2010. This tournament will be our one pole one man two teams per boat tournament. Meeting will be held at Southfork Resort on 9-17-2010 at 7:00pm.
July 10, 2010 Tournament
Eastern Missouri Crappie Club was honored to hold their Second Annual Male/Female tournament and auction with proceeds benefiting breast cancer research on July 10, 2010 at Mark Twain Lake! With beautiful weather conditions we were pleased to have a total of 24 teams registered for the tournament. We are proud to have had so many teams come out and help us support such a great cause. We had a great time and raised a total of $1,200.00 to benefit breast cancer research of Monroe County, Missouri.
Taking 1st Place bragging rights was the team of Joe Meyer and Debbie
Sosinski with a total of 8.44 lbs earning the team $768.00. Second Place
went to Tim Worth and Jayne Eby with a total weight of 8.16 lbs earning
the team $576.00. Third Place went to Jason and Abby Jackson with a
total weight of 8.00 lbs earning the team $384.00. Fourth Place went to
Brad Ruyle and Paise Wheeler with a total weight of 7.76 lbs earning the
team $192.00.Fifth Place went to Tom Holtmeyer and Cindy Boehm earning
them 2 ten foot crappie poles donated by Grizzly Jig Company
1st big fish was a 1.58 lb Mama caught by the team of Joe Meyer and
Debbie Sosinski earning them $161.00
2nd big fish weighed in at 1.46 lbs caught by Brad Ruyle and Paise
Wheeler earning them $69.00 for there efforts!!!!!!!

June 12,2010 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held their two person
trolling tournament held on Mark Twain Lake. Bob Bray and Ron
Molitor took first place with seven fish weighing 6.64lbs. The team won
$375.00 dollars for first place. John Martens and Tj Westoff took second
place with seven fish weighing 6.18lbs earning the team $225.00. Taking
third place was the team of Steve Perotti and Mike Vehgie with Seven
fish weighing in at 5.76lbs earning the team $150.00. Fourth place went
to the team of Joe Meyer and Debbie Sosinski with a weight of 5.72lbs
which earned the team two gift cards donated by Grizzly Jig Company for
being the first team to place out of the money. With a weight of 1.50lbs
Ray and Marsha Kiel won the big fish of the tournament earning them
$98.00.
Great job to the winning teams!!!!!!!!!!!.............and a special thanks to Key West camp ground! Our next tournament will be on Saturday July 10, 2009. This is a open Male/Female Tournament with proceeds towards the American Cancer Society . So guys bring your gals and sign up. Last Year was a great success With $3000.00 in donations and fun had by all!!!! There will be a barbeque and raffle after weigh in at 154 Marine.

On May 15, 2010 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held their North Fork Hole tournament at Mark Twain Lake.
First place was awarded to the team of Bruno Perotti, Steve
Vanderboss, and John Martens with 3.14 lbs. earning the team $324.00.
Second place went to the team of Mike Wehde, and Jason Jackson with a
weight of 2.54lbs earning the team $243.00 for their efforts. Third
place was the team of Shane Cappel, Keith Mueller, and Ed Barton with a
weight of 2.42 lbs. earning the team $162.00 for their efforts. Fourth
Place team of Bob Bray and Ron Molitor with a weight of 1.58lbs earning
the team $81.00. Fifth place team of Steve Vogelgesang and Matt Boschert
with a weight of 1.52lbs earning the team two gift certificates for
being the first team out of the money.

John Martens with a weight of 1.18 lbs. earning the team $70.00. 2nd big

On April 18, 2010 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held their 3-person open buddy tournament held on Mark Twain Lake. Bruno Perotti, John Martens, and Mike Veghie took first place with seven fish weighing 9.86lbs. This team also had the big fish weighing in at 2.08lb crappie The team won $324.00 dollars for first place and$ 70.00 dollars for big fish. Paul Click and Tom Holtmeyer took second place with seven fish weighing 8.74lbs earning the team $242.00. Taking third place was the team of Bob Bray and Ron Molitor with seven fish weighing in at 8.50lbs earning the team $161.00. Fourth Place went out to Jason Jackson, Ed Hoeckelmann, and Mike Wehde with seven fish weighing in at 7.92lbs earning them $81.00. Fifth place went to the team of Shane Cappel and Keith Mueller with a weight of 7.38lbs which earned the team gift cards for Grizzly Jig Company for being the first team to place out of the money, and this team also had second big fish weighing in at 1.58lbs earning the team $30.00 for second big fish.
